Wired puzzle

After hours of thought and examination, I finally got to the 'apparent' end of the Wired meta-puzzle... was an interesting puzzle, I enjoyed it... I still wonder if it really IS the end, as there are still a couple things that seem kind of hanging from my search, and I'm still thinking the solution to this meta-puzzle is only part of the solution to a greater meta-meta puzzle (which was even vaguely mentioned in the issue itself, though whether it was just defining or hinting at its actual existence, I can't really be sure)...

The final result was pretty cleverly hidden, completely in plain site... it actually felt very similiar to the color-coded puzzle near the end (p126), but on a much larger scale...

Now I'm sad it's over and I have to find new mysteries to puzzle out... unless... it's NOT over... *sigh* I wish I knew for sure before I invest billions of neuron-firings into the discovery. :)

found your blog when looking for info on the Wired issue. Really fascinating puzzles and mysteries. I'm working on them myself and have basically found the same clues and had the same thoughts as in your April 18th post. Also noticed the alarm clock times on the last page. Have you figured if these mean anything? (don't necessarily want the answer, just if you've found relevance in them).

BTW, there's an article about a guy that solved the puzzles first. WIRED let him know he was first and JJ is sending him a prize. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/21/arts/television/21wire.html

Yeah, I saw that article... I found out I got it 5th! I actually figured out what I had planned on doing at work, but didn't have a chance to actually DO it for several hours, makes me wonder how close I was to him. :) I guess I figured it out about 1pm on 4/20, but didn't actually finish until 10:30pm on 4/20. *shrug*

On his blog he mentions on the 17th that he solved it and that the second person was about 70 hours after his solve.
